Tulum and Koukounaries, one of the best beaches in the world
Tulum, Riviera Maya of Mexico and Koukounaries, on the Greek island of Skiathos, have been named among the 25 best beaches in the world of Travelers Choice of specialist travel website Tripadvisor.
The city of Tulum, which has received the fifth place is in the Mexican Caribbean coast in the Yucatan peninsula, on the northern border of the Biosphere Reserve of Sian Ka’an. Tulum coexist in nature and history, and that was one of the main reasons I was chosen fifth.
This is a destination where you can enjoy the sun and sea but also where to get lost in the jungle or to visit some Mayan ruins. According to Tripadvisor, the beaches of Tulum offer something different from other beaches in the Caribbean.
In fact, some of them are still virgins. Similarly, the city is divided into three distinct areas: the hotel, the people and the archaeological. The archaeological corresponds to the Mayan ruins, the only ones preserved by the sea, and also remains intact the old wall. Read the rest of this entry »
