Cultural Thessaloniki
Starting this year, the city of Thessaloniki will host some of the biggest cultural events in the world. This year, the wonderful cultures of the Middle East will be honored throughout the city with a series of musical events, plays, film festivals, documentaries, museum exhibitions, gastronomic events, conferences and symposia.

Everything will be to demonstrate that both disconcerting and unknown this as the idealized West did not exist in isolation from each other, but have always existed in a state of mutual influence.

The events will take place between March and December, these are some of them:

11 to 20 March, is celebrating the 13th edition of the famous Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, known for its support of the Israeli film industry.

This year the film chosen to kick off the festival is a co-Greek, Israeli and French. The novelty is the inclusion of Doc Market, a platform for producers and directors. Also noteworthy is the collaboration of the nonprofit organization that supports Copro Isreali film. Read the rest of this entry »
