Danube: Flora and Fauna

The Danube, the second longest river in Europe after the Volga, with its almost 3000 km long, rises in the Black Forest in Germany. Crosses numerous European countries and cities as Vienna, Bratislava, Belgrade and Budapest, before emptying into the Black Sea area of ??water of the Danube Delta, declared a UNESCO world heritage in 1991.
From a historical standpoint, the importance of the Danube is indisputable for centuries as a prominent waterway and natural border between different countries as a means of transporting freight vessels, thus promoting trade and river traffic, and as a strategic departure from natural and to locations in Europe.
From the point of view of flora and fauna, the Danube to a wealth of animal and plant species coexist in it, forming an ecosystem exotic certainly unique in the world.
